Mark Gottlieb, a native of California, has composed for many different musical ensembles. From short pieces for solo instruments to larger chamber ensembles to full orchestral concertos, Gottlieb’s work has been performed in the U.S., Canada and in Europe as well as broadcast performances on National Public Radio and the Canadian Broadcast Corporation.

 

Among his works has been "...and Summers Lasted 1000 years" performed as a ballet, and his plaintive and powerful string quartet in d minor commissioned for a broadcast performance by the CBC.

 

Mr. Gottlieb is also currently collaborating on a musical project with the writer George Clayton Johnson (Logan’s Run, Twilight Zone, Ocean’s Eleven…).
